WOOD

I believe that the beauty, durability, and sequestered carbon of wood make it a superior building material.  When properly selected, installed, and treated, wood can last for centuries.  There are many factors to consider in the selection of wood products in building.: is the species a finite resource, is the species best suited for its application, is it locally sourced or transported from thousands of miles away, is the material sustainably harvested, or is it reclaimed from previous use?  I have relationships with sawmills throughout New England and enjoy every aspect if sourcing product from them.
